An American at TEDx Currumbin in Australia
I’ve always known this was going to happen - having a TEDx talk.
Sure it was on my vision board, but that’s not what actually moves mountains.
The thing is...
I had already DECIDED it.
Most people don’t decide. They live in the land of mediocre vacillation of “wanting” or “would like” or “trying” or “it’d be nice if…”
Of course, it’d be nice to have a million dollars, right?
Of course, there are many people who WANT to have a TED talk?
And I’m sure there are also many people who have TRIED to have a TED talk…and…just…haven’t.
Why? Because they tried.
They wanted to.
They thought it would be nice if…
That is not DECIDING.
DECIDING means it’s happening.
Period.
Like no matter what. It is done. It is on its way.
It’s like putting in an order at a restaurant….
You DECIDE what you want, do the work (you know…you order it, you tell the waiter what you want), and then you TRUST it’s coming.
Waiting in the land of “wanting” is like being at the restaurant, hungry, wanting to eat something, staring at a menu, but never DECIDING on a meal.
No wonder people are left complaining about their dreams not coming true.
Choose your mother-effing meal!
Make a decision.
Choose what you want.
Put your order in with the Universe.
Decide what you want.
And then trust that what you want is coming your way.
You must decide FIRST.
…Then allow the Universe to completely blow your mind by overdelivering on flavorful irony.
Like having your TEDx talk be in a magical land called Queensland while living your dream abroad with your family, building a company called Crown Yourself.
I mean...Thank you, Universe!
