By trying to be perceived as “perfect” that not only doesn’t sell, but it also doesn’t SERVE.
For years we as a society have been fed this myth of perfection. It’s been shoved down our throats of these magical, completely unrealistic standards to hold ourselves too.
And for high-achievers, whenever you fall short of this false fairytale, you vomit up the lies, the “should” the “supposed to’s” and the “have to’s” of someone else’s playbook beating yourself up that you aren’t “there yet.” Wherever “there” is…and usually, even you don’t even know.
You just know what you DON’T want.
When I ask the question of “What DO you want?” I get a list of the programming the conditioned responses of what ‘success” and “love” and “relationships” are.
ONLY after some deep digging, do you really strip away the layers of what the world, people, friends, family, your partner say you “should” want do you actually get to what YOU desire.
And, never, whenever I have dug deep with my clients, has the response been to be perfect.
Usually, the answer is this…
FREEDOM.
AUTHENTICITY.
EMPOWERMENT.
BOLDNESS.
MOTIVATION.
Never….ever…has it EVER been in 3 years of working with hundreds of clients…PERFECTION.
Perfection is a cage of other people’s standards, beliefs, conditioning, and programming that you didn’t even build yourself. You just accepted it, locked yourself in it and there you are, caged, trapped, and clawing at your skin to liberate yourself.
So I’m okay with doing life and business and love and marriage a little messily.
I’m okay with looking, acknowledging, and accepting my messes because THAT does not define who I am. It liberates me to learn who I am designing myself to be.
So yeah…
I have typos.
I’ve yelled at Declan.
I forget to respond to someone.
I get angry.
I can be pretty freaking selfish at times.
I don’t do the dishes...for days at a time.
But on the other side of every single mistake is the freedom of growth, of expansion.
A diamond when it is first discovered is an ugly, brown, mud-covered rock.
It takes looking at it from all angles, under a lens to see all the ways in which it can be cleaned and cut and shaped into the beautiful rock you have on your finger.
It takes seeing the vision of what the diamond can and honing that vision with every shave and cut.
It takes deliberate observation of the flaws to be able to form the best diamond.
And even then, it’s not flawless.
The “flaws” that are left on the cutting room table are there because the lesson has been learned.
The lessons you are still learning and shaving out are like the self-limiting beliefs you know are still there, but may not be visible to anyone else’s eye…maybe even not your own.
We are still diamonds being shaped.
Pretending to be perfect is fraud.
It’s passing off cubic zirconia as a VVS1.
So I will continue to own the flaws that I am blessed with, that I am still working on shaving, honing and refining.
And this is where having an expert “diamond cutter” one who can see the mistakes, the self-limiting beliefs, and the current cuts that are dulling your sparkle work with you, so you can see those fragments of cloudiness and confusion and cut it away for greater clarity, so you sparkle more brightly.
That’s the power of coaching.

Typically my 1:1 clients are also making $10K or more per month in their business and they are ready to take it to $25K and even to $50K and beyond. If that’s you, then book a 90-minute consult with me, and let’s see if it’s a fit.
