Fear inspires no one. Sure, it motivates. Of course, you can really get moving with fear, but ultimately chaos and fear don’t inspire.
Inspiration is divine. It’s soul connecting with soul.
Courage is inspiration in motion.
Having the courage to admit when you’re scared.
Having the courage to go into the arena.
Having the courage to do what someone else won’t or believes they can’t.
That inspires.
Courage ignites the flame of possibility in others. Fear snuffs it out.
Inspiration is hope.
It’s an example of the possibility that there can be something greater, something beyond, something worth going for.
For usually, when you’re acting with courage, you don’t know how it’s going to play out. Heck - whoever does!
Courage is taking that aligned action, and moving forward in faith.
It’s Divine.
It’s aligned.
It’s not always what someone else said you “should” do or what “would be good for you.”
It’s sometimes defying logic, reason, and the things that “make sense” for the wild, the unknown, the different, the “I know this is going to sound crazy, but we’re going to do it anyway.”
Trust that even if you fumble, even if you fall (and you probably will), you have the tenacity, the audacity, and the grit to get back up again.
Courage is often misconstrued as strength.
But strength is the effect of courage. Courage is the cause.
Strength is forged through every courageous act, every act of defiance of every piece of plagiarised programming, every moment of leaning in.
Courage is telling the truth even when you know it’s going to rock the boat.
Courage is putting yourself and your creations out there with the possibility of being judged mocks
Courage is speaking up for what you need right now at this moment.
Courage is getting up out of bed, taking a shower, and taking just one step toward healing.
It’s not fucking easy.
Living in anger is easy.
Fear is easy - hell, it's biologically wired for us to feel, it’s that easy.
Apathy, disconnecting, guilt, that is easy.
But, then again, no one ever said that tapping into our Divinity through our ego, through our humanness, through our shadows, was ever going to be easy.
Courage inspires.
It uplifts.
All of these take COURAGE to reach.
The courage to be at peace.
The courage to receive love.
The courage to accept things like death, hardship, challenges - and all the other things you don’t like or want.
The courage to find happiness even in the darkest of times.
The courage to admit when you’re wrong.
The courage to even question if you’re not right can still love yourself.
The courage to be compassionate to those who disagree with you for the goal of peace.
The courage to seek out hope, even when the circumstances around you feel hopeless.
You gotta have guts to Crown Yourself.
