Surrender the Form

On the flight over to Australia, I got MY fill of Marvel movies. International flights used to be my jam. Strapped in a seat, I’d get so much work done. Laser focus, baby! That was before Declan. 

When we took our first trip overseas to Australia, that was a 16-hour lesson for me in surrendering to what was. Declan was one at the time. I was squished into the middle seat between Spike and a large Samoan man, holding my overly exhausted baby boy, who then proceeded to nurse...for the WHOLE flight. Yeah. That was rough. I learned to surrender the form of how I traveled and the expectation to be able to get ANYTHING done while on a plane with a child...other than taking care of my kid.

So for this flight, I had to

This is why knowing your values is so critical because you can always pivot into a knee form when you know your purpose.

I didn’t realize this when I “lost” my e-commerce company.  I was so attached to the form, that I didn’t see the values of

“yes and” attitude 

All values that I have translated into Crown Yourself.

Right now a lot of people are pivoting their businesses to go online, but it doesn’t nor should it be some sterile copycat version of some one’s online business but a reflection of your values in their form.

The same is true with your career, if you’re working from home. 

And if those values weren’t playing into what you do than good riddance 

“But I need my paycheck.”

YES, AND WON’T YOU BE SO MUCH HAPPIER WHEN YOU ARE RECEIVING AND EARNING MONEY DOING SOMETHING THAT FUELS YOUR SOUL?

We think we had the “how” figured out - go to school, go to college, get a job. But what 2007 and 2020 are looking to have with the ensuing financial repercussions of COVID-19 on our economy is that there is NO certainty EXCEPT in the lessons, values and experiences you have had and how you can creatively grow those into new opportunities.  

When you try to do the HOW on your own, you get linear results. No wonder economies and industries crash and burn. Because nothing in nature or in life for that matter is linear. It bobs and serves and curves. 

When you try to straighten that curve into a line it breaks. Ever tried to bend a twig into a perfect line?

A tree doesn’t ask how it will grow. It grows where it’s planted. 

SURRENDERING THE HOW, LEAVES YOU OPEN TO A MIRACLE.

...Like having your kid sleep for 8 hours of a 16 hour flight, and you get to lay back and enjoy a glass of champagne and a good movie.
