Wanting to hide right about now?
THERE ARE SOME DAYS I WANT TO RETREAT.
There are times when I just want to cower and hide and bury myself in the cocoon of my blankets and pretend like the world around me doesn’t exist.
There are moments, sometimes days when I just want to hide behind the veil of “not knowing how” and quietly sip the poison of my excuses and allow its slow erosion eat through the intestines of my dreams like colitis of the creative.
Yes, I have my moments. Sometimes they even last a day.
I hide knowing that I will be rebirthed through the labor pains as I dig through the plagiarized programming, conditioned addicted feelings of “not-enoughness” and “who cares” because I know what’s on the other side...
Sweet freedom.
Freedom from the matrix of what society, people, the world says I should think/do/be.
Freedom from the fears that bind me to the mast of the sinking vessel of who I have been.
FOR IT IS WITH COURAGE AND FAITH THAT WE RISE BEYOND.
We face that fear with a faithful “F*it” and I go forth one step at a time.
Sometimes it’s slogging along. Sometimes it’s a sprint.
But either way, it’s momentum, moving forward, fumbling, failing, but ever forward and onward, strengthening my resilience with every step.
You cannot turn back. That’s the thing about going to your next level.
When you know you ARE where you once wanted to be, you know you can’t unlearn, unsee, unremembered who you’re have awakened yourself to be.
You are free to grow and learn.
For that is the only constant, the only certainty - that you can either accept and innovate with the change, or fight against it, but the CHANGE is coming.
It’s already here.
Once you take the red pill, you can’t turn back.
You know the secrets of the universe, of your mind, and the power that lies within.
IT’S THERE IN YOU - LIKE DORTHY’S SPARKLY, FREAKING FABULOUS SHOES - YOU HAD IT ALL ALONG.
The power is who you are, you are just beginning to discover.
And every next level will have nothing the growth and excitement of discovery and the seemingly-paralyzing fear that can stick you in stuckness should you deny your soul the ACTIONS for which you were placed here on this planet to do.
The ACTIONS of your purpose.
The ACTIONS of your greatness.
The ACTIONS of alignment.
For in that space of alignment + action, there is Traction, driving you forward out of the confines of your cowardice and the covers, and into your courage.
Go forth taking action, in alignment.
And let your Future Self, your purpose, your mission, pull you out of the dizzying dance of excuses and into ALL the power, and the glory that you were born to be.
