How to Create Your Happiness After Healing from Chronic Pain
Kimberly interviews TV Executive Producer and Showrunner, Meredith Prunkard on learning OTJ, how to hold yourself accountable to your dream, and how a book healed her from decades of chronic back pain after doctors said she wouldn't walk.
Meredith Prunkard is an Executive Producer and Showrunner in the television industry. Her focus is on female-centric programming, from linear, network and cable projects, to OTT and digital content. Her work includes the Women’s Image Award-winning series “Funny Girls,” which portrays the plight of female comics working in a male-dominated industry, and Hello Sunshine's "Master The Mess." In her spare time, Meredith serves as an Executive Board member of the Los Angeles Chapters of Together We Will and Pantsuit Nation, which are grassroots, progressive activist groups. She is also a volunteer with the Southern California Bulldog Rescue and foster parent in the Senior Bulldog Hospice program. She lives in Northeast LA with her husband Ben and her beloved American Bulldog, Breslin.
A message from Kimberly…
OMG! I was so ridiculously excited to interview Meredith, because not only is she a badass executive producer in the very male-dominated world of reality TV, but when she was a Pilates client of mine, she made the MOST phenomenal transformation I have ever witness in a client.
Seriously, when she first came to me walking was painful and I had to work with her like i did with my geriatric clients. Six months after doctors told her she would be in a wheelchair in later after reading a book, she came back like an entirely different woman and could be pushed like my other fit, 30-something year old clients. It truly was phenomenal. And we go into all that on the podcast.
In this episode you’ll learn why you gotta do the doing and learn OTJ (16:30), how to hold yourself accountable to your dream (19:30), why you gotta rock the boat (24:00), when to know that you should step up and be the leader and step into your power (27:00), what to do when doctors say you’ll never walk in 2 years (34:00), how a book healed her from 30 years of chronic back pain (38:00), the truth about most chronic pain (40:30), how I defied doctor’s beliefs (43:00), the female superpower that is been a MASSIVE asset in any industry (51:00), why you must eliminate the fear of delegating (53:00) why failure is your only success (1:00:00) and so much more.
