Going cross-eyed?

Personal development 101, psychoanalysis, neuroscience - all require looking inward. You see it all over the interwebs, influencers are citing positive inspirational, reflective quotes, things to make you think.

But is it just more shit to consume or is it, Soul?

Messaging requires you to message - to put your message out there. To share and serve with whatever message comes through.

You’re not looking inward when you’re looking outward for likes, followers, or for people to be dazzled by your insight.

That’s pride.

Your intention is off.

You cannot serve two masters.

It’s your mission and message.

Or it’s other people’s approval of what you say/do/think.

There is no grey zone.

It’s either inward or outward. Otherwise, you get cross-eyed.

Divine downloads, creation, messages, ideas come THROUGH you, for you and for the service of your world.

You’re either serving with those insights or having those likes serve your ego.

ONE IS LOVE, THE OTHER IS PRIDE.

When does looking inward turn to being SELF-focused instead of being of service?

Here is how to tell if your focus is in the right direction to prevent you from going cross-eyed.

No.1 - Are You Seeking Approval from Others?

Scouring for likes, comments, checking right after you post, circling back wondering, “I wonder how many people liked it today?” That’s outward focus. That’s looking for external validation from the world that your message is on point, on target.

HERE’S THE THING ABOUT LOOKING OUTSIDE YOURSELF - YOU WILL ALWAYS GET MIXED MESSAGES.

Some will love it. Some will hate it. Some will share it all over the place. Some will vilify you for even speaking it.

Who’s right?

No.2 - Are You Pausing, Delaying, or Procrastinating on Sharing?

That’s fear baby, gripping you by the throat, choking out your voice. Sure, you can

YOU EITHER TRUST THAT YOUR MESSAGE IS THE MESSAGE AND IT’S THE MESSAGE THAT PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR, OR YOU DON’T.

You either have faith that whatever words, magic, truth just came through you is going to be of service to someone, or you choose to be selfish and keep it for yourself (which never really works anyway, because it is in sharing and teaching it that you continue to engrain it...thanks Universe.)

No.3 - Are You Censoring Yourself?

This isn’t about whether you drop an f-bomb or say fuck when it feels appropriate. This is about censoring the message - turning delicious, chunky cherry chocolate with marshmallows, which not everyone will like - into vanilla.

It’s about holding back on your truth, sharing your values, sharing ALL of you - the mistakes, messes, f*ups and failures too.

Sure, you can chalk it up to fear...or perfectionism (aka fear)...or wanting to say the “right thing” (aka fear of saying the wrong thing).

But, ultimately, censoring a part of who you are is CHOOSING to reinforce the beliefs of scarcity, fear, and enoughness about who you are.

Show up fully, bringing ALL of you to the table - including the mess (especially the HOT one), and OWN that you are…

GASP!

Human.

It is your humanity that will attract more people to you, not your perfection.

Look inward. Serve outward.

When you reverse that process, the outward only serves your ego, which is just a shadow of all the gloriousness that is YOU at your Soul.

YOUR SOUL DESERVES MORE CREDIT THAN THAT.

Remember your reign is now.
