Becca Tankersley is the Executive Director of Lion's Heart and responsible for all major decisions regarding Lion’s Heart, and reports to the Board of Directors. She also currently serves as a member on the OneOC Nonprofit Advisory Council in Santa Ana, California and the Girls on the Run of Orange County Board of Directors. She became involved in the nonprofit world at a very young age; her first memory volunteering is at 5 years old. After high school, Rebecca did a year of AmeriCorps with City Year Rhode Island. It was there that she realized there was no other career path for her, and she dedicated herself to a lifetime of service. She founded a LGBT rights organization at the age of 20, while attending Wilmington University earning her degree in Organizational Dynamics (Nonprofit Management.)

She began her career with the American Cancer Society and came to Lion's Heart from the Girl Scouts of Orange County. She is extremely passionate about community service and founded the Orange County chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. She currently lives in Anaheim Hills with her husband and house rabbit, Albus.
